They seem to be really up to date with the latest standards as I did not need to give them my SARS login info or change my OTP number. A huge plus for me because I have a traumatic experience of needing to get my login info and OTP number updated from an accountant for years. I'm grateful that is not needed. My husband is a foreigner with Dyslexia and The Penny Counter showcased having experience in working with people with Dyslexia and foreigners which is great for me. I received consistent and real-time feedback on Whatsapp during my business registration process. What I like most about conversing with them is that they understand people with businesses have hectic unpreditable schedules and we don't always manage to get to everything we need to do in a day. It's hard not to appreciate how rooted in reality they are. They really know what they are doing but they also have the crucial soft skills to understand the needs of business people and how to work with them as accountants which I find to be rare. Also their communication is refreshing compared to bigger firms I have worked with in the past. It's nice to send a Whatsapp and know what is going on- instead of it going into a mostly unresponsive corporate void- which I experienced a lot in the past.
